Post-Week 9 Top 25
Michigan State overcame a big deficit and established itself as a national contender.
What a Saturday!
Michigan State stormed back to beat Michigan, delivering Jim Harbaugh yet another blow in a rivalry game. Later in the day, top-ranked Georgia easily beat Florida and is on a collision course with Alabama for a date in the SEC title game. Meanwhile, Cincinnati didn’t look fantastic in a win over Tulane, but surviving and advancing is the name of the game—unless you’re a Group of Five squad.
The first batch of College Football Playoff rankings will be released on Tuesday night after the selection committee meets in Grapevine, TX. It will be the first of six rankings, and it will be very interesting to see how the one-loss contenders are ranked.
